National Clean Off Your Desk Day/Organize Your Home Day
Today is a
great day to get a fresh start for the new year. Clutter = chaos, and
it makes it very hard to think clearly and work efficiently. Need help
getting organized? Call us, we'll make it painless and productive.

Prohibition Remembrance Day
At 12:01 a.m.
on January 17, 1920, Prohibition became official. Raise a glass and
toast the bad old days!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
"I have a
dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true
meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that
all men are created equal.'...I have a dream that my four children will
one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of
their skin but by the content of their character...I have a dream
today."

New Year's
Resolutions
|
|
Made any resolutions for 2008?
We all tend to resolve to change the same things year after year, only
to fail to accomplish these goals and give up on them by March.
According to the web site www.usa.gov, 7
of the 10 most popular New Year's Resolutions include:
The best way to be successful with any of these
resolutions is to have a game plan.
Be sure to set attainable goals and break down your resolution
into weekly or monthly goals.
This will allow you the freedom to have a bad day or week, but
won't necessarily overwhelm you and cause you to abandon your
goal.
One thing that frequently becomes an obstacle is
time. How do we make the TIME to
focus on our goals and achieve success?
This is where QCS comes into the picture! By handing us your daily "to
do" list, you can use the extra time to take classes, volunteer at
your favorite charity, or spend time doing something fun that also
helps you get fit. Give us your
grocery shopping list, so you have the fresh ingredients for those
nutritional meals instead of ordering a pizza or stopping for fast
food. How about that adventure
vacation you would love to take?
QCS can help you plan your trip and while you are away, we can take
care of your home: we can bring in your mail, water
plants, do a perimeter check, take care of pets, and can schedule
maintenance needed on your home.
Ensure success with your New Year's resolutions by
giving yourself freedom to ask for help where you need it!

A hot new trend in the workplace for 2008 will be the
increasing use of virtual assistants. A virtual assistant (VA) is a
professional who provides administrative services to clients, without
ever having to set foot inside their office. Traditionally VAs have
worked in an office environment for many years and have knowledge and
experience at a high administrative level.
A VA is
an independent contractor,
not an employee. The VA sets their rates and hours and pays their own
self-employment taxes. Clients are typically comprised of
entrepreneurs, start up companies, and small businesses. A VA can
schedule appointments, handle your correspondence, emails, event
planning, Board of Director's meetings, candidate screening--whatever
you need.
Why Hire a Virtual Assistant?
- A VA
allows you to focus on running and growing your business, knowing
the administrative tasks are being taken care of.
- A VA is economical: you only pay
for the work they do. No paying for time spent on coffee breaks,
lunchtime, or chats.
- Further cost savings: with a VA,
there's no need to pay a fulltime salary, employment taxes, health
benefits, or other overhead charges.
- A VA works from their office, so there is no need for the
business to find dedicated office space and equipment.
- A VA provides your business much needed flexibility. You hire a VA only when you need
them: one hour per week, a few hours per month or on a project
basis.
QCS currently supports
numerous clients and companies through our VA services. Contact us for
more information on how we can help you grow your business with
the help of a virtual assistant.
