Greetings!
I think April exists just to tempt us into dreaming about Summer.
The weather is warming up, the days are longer and sunnier, and
we're starting to believe that Winter is finally gone. This month is
also full of great celebrations and times of joy.
As we celebrate Spring, with this newsletter it is our goal to
provide useful information and tips, and to be on call for you when
you need help with all your projects and holiday celebrations. We'd
love to hear what you would like to see in upcoming issues.
Wishing you many chocolate bunnies,
Ellen Lovelace, Founder and President

| Spring Break for the Housebound |
 |
If you are unable to take a vacation this spring break and
are concerned about the kids getting “stir crazy” with a week
off, try some of these fun ideas.
Field Trip: Is there a tourist attraction nearby
that you have never taken the time to visit? Make a day of
visiting it. Save ticket stubs, maps, brochures and don’t
forget the camera. The next day you can create a scrapbook of
your adventures.
Camping in the Living Room: Have the kids bring
blankets, sleeping bags, pillows and flashlights into the
living room. Turn off the TV. Take turns performing skits or
play charades. If you have a fireplace, make a fire and roast
your hot dog dinner. Don't forget the graham crackers,
marshmallows and chocolate bars for s’mores!! Finish the night
by telling ghost stories.
Pizza Party: Head to the grocery store and buy all
sorts of fun toppings and pizza dough. Let each kid make their
own personal pizza for dinner. You may want to pick up cookie
dough and fun toppings for a dessert pizza, too.
Film Festival: Have the kids create their own
screenplay, cast the characters and use your camcorder to
capture all the creative action. When done, make a big bowl of
popcorn and watch all the movies. You can make fun "Best of"
award certificates on your home computer to be hung on the
wall of your child’s bedroom, or go the extra mile and buy
small statues. Have your kids help pick out the awards and see
just how creative and fun this can really be.

you can experience if you just decide to go for it!!
Be aware, the longer that you wait, the more limited your

You Can Do THAT For Me?! |
|
|
|
As we talk about the work we do, invariably folks are
stunned to find out about some recent task we handled. So,
each month we'll tell you about something interesting we've
done. It might also spark an idea for how we can help YOU!
We just worked with an older widow to get her home ready to
sell. After 40 years in the house, there was a lot of stuff to
sort through. We helped her identify items to give to family
or charity, and lots of terrific things to sell.
Then, we coordinated and hosted her garage sale! We priced
and readied the items. We posted ads online announcing the
sale, and fielded inquiries. We were onsite by 6 am on sale
day, having posted signs throughout the area. It was a long
and profitable day: by day's end, the homeowner had made over
$1200! The remaining items we prepared for donation.
Who knows what treasures you might have collecting dust in
your home? If you're thinking about a garage sale but can't
stand doing it all yourself, give QCS a call.
